The Horticulture Committee seeks to nurture the knowledge and love of gardening, to promote useful and valuable plants, and to help conserve those plants at risk. It stimulates knowledge and a love for gardening by sponsoring lectures, demonstrations, meetings, and projects and by disseminating horticultural information to club members and the general public. Our goal is to educate our community in responsible ways to plant, propagate, grow and show plants.
The GCA publishes The Real Dirt, an online newsletter for GCA club members. The annual Shirley Meniece Horticulture Conference is available to all clubs and a representative from each GCA club is encouraged to attend. |
