Country Garden Club's mission is to promote the knowledge of horticulture and conservation and to enhance our community's natural environment.

Founded in 1932, Country Garden Club is a recognized leader in the beautification of Northwest Ohio’s natural environment through Education, Conservation, Advocacy, and Funding. Since its inception, CGC has donated more than $900,000 to the Northwest Ohio community.

Major Club Initiatives Include

WW Knight




~~The development of the W.W. Knight Nature Preserve including establishing the
lab in the nature center; funding to build and maintain the boardwalk; and restoring its prairie lands.






~~Assisting with many of our local institutions, including Spafford House Museum, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the 577 Foundation, 
Way Public Library, and Fort Meigs.

~~Providing ongoing support for Perrysburg parks and throughout Wood County.

~~Funding Educational Institutions including gardening experiences at Hull Prairie Intermediate, Perrysburg Junior High water bottle filling stations and the BGSU Community Garden.




~~Partnering with the City of Perrysburg and 
Keeping Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful to initiate a Scraps to Soil Food Composting Program.

~~Offering educational opportunities for the public including speakers on global warming, environmental activism, and the spotted lanternfly.
